The Braids is a painting-sculpture hybrid, made entirely of acrylic paint that I painstakingly hand-cut, carved, and braided directly on wood panel. This piece an advocation for reproductive health, reflecting on my personal experience with Endometriosis disorder. The Braids was first exhibited at the Akin Vitrine Gallery, located at 1485 Dupont Street, Toronto, Ontario in 2016.
